About
I’ve been making up stories for as long as I can remember, starting with animal stories and graduating to an historical romance I wrote while in junior high school. In college, I took several creative writing classes, and when my children were young, I wrote and sold a number of short stories to Woman’s World magazine. Those stories are now included in the five collections on my Books Page.
Reading is my favorite pastime, and I have many crowded bookshelves, as well as an e-reader full of books. My personal opinion? You can never have too many books! I love romance, mystery, and women’s fiction. Some of my favorite authors include: Kathleen Eagle, Karen White, Mary Alice Monroe, Jennifer Greene, Rosanne Bittner, Margaret Coel, Craig Johnson, and way too many others to list. I also love to give new authors a try, because anyone who writes was once a new author.
I’ve been a member of Michigan Romance Writers, Romance Writers Online, and Women Writing the West. I’m also concerned with animal welfare issues, and I write a monthly column called The Pet Corner, where I advocate for homeless pets, local shelters, and rescue groups. Some of those columns appear on my Zeke Chronicles blog.
My husband and I live in southwest Michigan, near the sunset coast of Lake Michigan, with our dog, a silly rat terrier named Ace, and our orange tabby kitty, Sandwich.
We have two grown children and several granddogs. We love to travel, especially out West, but anyplace with mountains or beaches is good. I’m always on the lookout for a new setting for my books.
